The Warriors traveled to Shadyside High School on Saturday night to square off against a storied playoff powerhouse in the Shadyside Tigers.  With only 3.5 seconds remaining in the game, down by 4 at mid-field, the Warriors had one final shot to keep their playoff run alive and if you missed the game, you missed one of the most exciting finishes in high school football...

Senior Quarterback Jamal Lipsey scrambled away from defenders in the pocket and threw up a 50-yd Hail Mary, finding junior running back, Daniel Bangura in the middle of the endzone for the Warrior touchdown and a last second victory for Harvest Prep!

The Warriors will travel to a neutral venue (TBD) next Saturday at 7:00PM to square off against the Danville Blue Devils in the Regional Semifinals.  This will be the second consecutive year that Harvest Prep and Danville meet in the playoffs as the Blue Devils knocked them out of the post-season in 2015.

The Warriors are Playoff Bound!
It was a different feel for the Warrior football team this past week with their Mid-State League Championship game against the Knights of Fairfield Christian Academy being played on Saturday instead of the usual Friday night.  If you expected it to negatively effect the team, you were wrong.  The Warriors won in convincing fashion, taking down FCA 69-10, earning their third consecutive Mid-State League Cardinal Division crown outright.

With the win on Saturday night, Harvest Prep jumped 3 spots in the regional rankings, from ten to seven and earned a playoff bid for week 11.  The Warriors will travel to Shadyside High School this Saturday, November 5th to take on the Tigers in the Division 7 Region 27 Regional Quarterfinal.  It's win or go home from this point forward. Come out and support your Warrior football team as they begin their playoff run!

Pre-sale tickets will go on sale in the Athletic office on Tuesday, November 1st and will be available until Friday at 5PM.  All pre-sale tickets are $8.00 ($9.00 at the gate).  There will be a cost for parking at Shadyside HS ($3.00).

HPS Warriors & Daniel Bangura Featured by USA Today!
USA Today Features Harvest Prep Warriors
If you’ve attended HPS football games this year, you’ve experienced the Warriors’ potent rushing offense, with the offensive line freeing junior running back Daniel Bangura for big yardage.

What you might not have realized is that Bangura has more rushing yards than any other high-school running back in the nation – nearly 3,000 yards entering the Oct. 28 season finale at Fairfield Christian Academy.

Now, the nation knows. One of the nation’s largest newspapers, USA Today, featured the Warriors and Bangura on its website this week. Click here to read the story!

Join us in congratulating Daniel Bangura and the HPS football team, led by head coach Milan Smith, for an outstanding achievement that has brought acclaim on a national level to the entire school. WARRIORS – YOU KNOW!
