New Student Info 2024
Saturday, July 13, 2024Welcome New & Returning Families to the 2024-2025 School Year! We are excited to welcome more than 800 students to campus this fall!
Below you will find very important information as you plan for the new school year:
School Calendar - Our 2024-2025 School Calendar can be found HERE. Please note that there were some modifications made to the new calendar since the initial release in April. Please make sure you take some time to review all of the start dates. The key dates (ie. Christmas break, Graduation, etc.) will not change after today, so if you need this information for scheduling vacations or graduation parties, etc. the information is accurate. (The website contains a PDF version that you can print.)
Dress Code - Click here to reivew the Student Dress Code. Students are expected to be dressed in the approved dress code on their scheduled first day of school. Educational Apparel is our only uniform provider, which means all uniform apparel items must be purchased through their store. Approved school pants must have the 'HPS' seal above the back pocket. Purchasing khakis from Old Navy or other retail stores is prohibited. In addition, please be reminded that students are not approved to have hair unnatural colors (ie. pink, blue, orange, green, etc.).
Student Accounts - This is a reminder that all student enrollment associated fees must be paid in full before a student can begin classes in August. Tuition payments can still be scheduled for a monthly payment plan. Students with an outstanding balance for 2023-2024 will not be permitted to begin school until the outstanding balance and the 2024-2025 fees are paid in full.
Supply Lists - We do require specific supply items for students in K-8. Here is the updated 2024-2025 Supply List. Students in 9-12 are asked to purchase general supply items, as students often add/drop courses within the first few days of school.
Student Schedules - Our school counselor, Mrs. McClure, creates student schedules based on the official transcipt recieved by the Enrollment Services Center during the application process.
Chromebooks - Every student is required to use a school-issued Chromebook. In order to recieve a device and an official school email, the Chromebook Agreement Form must be signed and returned to info@harvestprep.org. Students are not permitted to bring personally-owned laptops, Chromebooks, or iPads to campus this year due to network security.
Cell Phones - We are following the new guidance established by the State of Ohio and our students are not permitted to use cell phones on campus during the school day. Our staff will always graciously provide the opportunity for students to turn off and store their cell phones if they are out during class, but any refusal to do so will result in the cell phone being confiscated and a parent/guardian will have to retrieve the phone from the office (during school hours).
School Hours - We will be starting school at 8:00am again this year. The only modification to our end time is that 6-12 will now be releasing at 2:45pm. More information will be provided in August about the new bell schedule.
