Middle School
Serving as a bridge between the lower school and high school years, the middle school program at Harvest Preparatory School endeavors to make the most of the unique opportunities of this transitional season of life. Our faculty challenges each student through Christ-centered, rigorous curriculum that reflects a student’s transition from concrete to abstract thinking. Our goal is for students to become engaged and involved in all-facets of the middle school experience – academics, arts, athletics, and community service. The middle school experience comes with more freedom and more responsibility. We believe in challenging our students and holding them accountable to a structured routine that supports academic success. Our focus is to support the academic and spiritual growth of each student, while placing an emphasis on the preparation for the high school environment.
Students are enrolled in a system of required core academic classes and have the opportunity to select from a myriad of elective courses, both in the traditional setting and in a blended learning environment. Eligible middle school students are able to enroll in the College Credit Plus program, a dual enrollment program, allowing students to earn both high school and college credit.
In conjunction with the academic experience, our middle school students have the opportunity to participate in the Washington DC trip, which is scheduled every other year, allowing students the opportunity to attend at least once in middle school.
